Our focus on Germany, not Brazil – Siasia

Samson Siasia has again stated that his programme is always about the next opponent rather than thinking of  matches that are not yet on the fixtures.
The national  Under-23 team  coach, who addressed reporters shortly after the game against Denmark on Saturday,  said his focus was  on his team’s semifinal fixture against Germany in Sao Paulo on Wednesday   rather than on Brazil,  who some  Nigerian fans are emotionally evoking because of the epic battle between the two countries at the Atlanta ’96 Olympics.
But  Siasia told the media in Salvador that the possibility of playing Brazil in the final match remained secondary in his thoughts for now.
The Germans beat  Portugal  4-0 in their quarterfinal clash. Brazil will face Honduras in the other semifinal fixture.
Siasia  said, “We saw what the Brazilians did to the Danish team; they are a very good side. They didn’t start well but the most important thing is how well you end. It’s not easy scoring four goals against this Danish team.
“However, I don’t want to worry about Brazil right now. As you guys know, I still have the semifinal against Germany to think about and that is the only thing in my mind right now.  After crossing the Germany hurdle, we will think of our opponents for the gold medal match. We have gone through a lot on this journey and we cannot get to the gold medal match and then freeze.”
After the loss to Colombia in their group game in Sao Paulo,  Siasia stated that he would not wish for a game against the hosts until the final day but added he was picking his games and preparing for any opponent that comes on.
Siasia also praised his players for the win over the Danes. He said the players were able to calm his nerves over their initial frailty in defending.
“I just want to give thanks
